Temat	What is special about phase transitions in two dimensions?
Abstrakt	I will begin with a review of basic concepts underlying the theory of continuous phase transitons, with particular emphasis on universality. Subsequently I will present the Mermin-Wagner theorem and give a brief account of the Kosterlitz-Thouless transition.
